Post Disney, we headed straight to Port Canaveral for a relaxing week of sand and sun. We arrived in the evening right before sunset. The kids ran the beach. Played in the sand. Thoroughly enjoying the feel of the wind and water.

We experienced so much rest during this week. Taking long walks to the beach. Fishing off the pier. Grabbing fresh catch from the best little fish market down the road. We tried to soak up the sun and enjoy the rest and relaxation we desperately needed after such a fast past experience of Disney.
Each day the boys and I worked on schoolwork, walked to the beach, rode bikes around the campground, and played in the sand.

Each day our dog Birch went for a walk.
Our neighbor, whose camper faced us, was apparently bottling up his anger about us during the duration of our stay. One evening we came back to him trudging to our truck yelling and cussing at us, while the boys were right with us. We were appalled. Apparently, our dog had pooped on his campsite and he was furious it had not been cleaned up yet. We had not seen it and I told him calmly if he had spoken up and said something NICELY earlier, I would have happily cleaned it up and it wouldn’t have been to scream and cuss around my children. He clearly didn’t like that, but angry people never like my calm demeanor when I face their aggression head on. Needless to say, he was happy when we left for our next camp spot the following day.
Unfortunately, no launches happened while we were visiting but this always provides us with another reason to visit. Minus angry neighbors. On a bright note, my husband caught a few fish off the pier and was thrilled to fish in the ocean mist which created the most beautiful rainbow sky. Catch up soon!
